The
Surrender of Willsmere Philatelic Lodge No. 887 Warrant was given great
consideration by the brethren.
It
was not for want of proposed candidates, for the past two years all Regular
Meetings have been Live Degree work.
It
was not for want of support from the active brethren in all our activities, both
in the Lodge and Social.
It
was not for want of fellowship or what Willsmere Philatelic Lodge had to offer
the brethren.
It
was not for want of support from Grand Lodge or the District Co-ordinator.
The
final decision to Surrender the Warrant came down to a number of key issues:
Brethren
residing within the Kew District numbered two only.
Candidates
over the past two years reside outside the Kew District.
Future
prospects of securing local Kew residents as candidates.
Taking
all these factors into consideration the brethren made the decision to Surrender
the Warrant.
All active member of Willsmere Philatelic Lodge No. 887 have affiliated with Lodges closer to home, the main beneficiaries being The Healesville Lodge and Deepdene Lodge.
