Mikey Is a Multiple Best Exhibit In Show winning Mastiff. Awarded Best In Show at the Mastiff Specialty Championship Show for the consecutive years 1997,1998,1999. And again during his most recent outing 2001.

He has also been awarded Royal Best Of Breed And CC Dog at Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra Royal Shows as well as Reserve Of Breed at Melbourne and Adelaide to his brother Clarke. Mike was also Mastiff Of The Year the consecutive Years. 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999. He has a Reserve In Group at Championship Level as well as being the sire of four Group winning mastiffs at Championship and Open Show level.

Mike has a truly broad square head with a broad deep muzzle, a level bite and good pigment.  His head is of quality enough that he was awarded best head four times at Mastiff Specialty shows.  Mike is a good to medium sized dog with a reasonable length, good boning and slightly more than moderate angulation. He has very short powerful hocks, his feet are very tight with upright pasterns. Mikes chest is also broad and deep and he is relatively close to the breed standard in an overall picture. These qualities have been rewarded by Breed Specialist judges from the USA and the UK.

Mike is a joy to own and exhibit. He is a proud and impressive mastiff to have around home as well as being a worthy ambassador for the breed. He has also been on the front cover of two canine magazines and featured inside four. In the conformation ring he is hard work to handle as he is intent eating on his squeaky toy before we get to the ring, but still a pleasure as a very typical and generally a showy dog who moves with great power and drive.

Due to an injury Mike had a toe amputated in 1999 and has been out of the show ring during his peak of maturity for well over a year. He was unfortunate enough to also have a bone chip further impeding his recovery. This was removed, and he has since had his last show outing for a very pleasing Best Exhibit In Specialty Show from an entry of 45.

This was under highly respected Boxer specialist Mrs Pauola Watten of Italy.  That was his last championship show retired on that high note. He is growing old happily at home now aged 91/2. We have his stored semen which we hope to use one day on one of our Breton bitches. We are extremely proud and fortunate to have bred and owned such a wonderful mastiff.
